Overview
Bin Day NZ is designed for New Zealand bin collection reminders. It does not use advertising, third-party analytics or tracking.
Information you enter
You may enter property names, property addresses, council selections, collection schedules and reminder preferences. This information is stored on your device so the app can show collection dates and schedule reminders.
Council lookup
When you use live council lookup, Bin Day NZ may send the property address or council property identifier you provide to the relevant New Zealand council website or public data service to retrieve collection information. Council services are operated by their respective councils, not by Bin Day NZ.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Bin Day NZ schedules local notifications on your device. You can pause reminders in the app or change notification permissions in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Bin Day NZ uses Apple StoreKit for the lifetime unlock. Purchases and restore purchases are handled by Apple. The app checks Apple purchase entitlement status so it can unlock the full app after purchase.
Data deletion
You can delete saved properties inside the app. Deleting the app also removes locally stored Bin Day NZ data from your device.
