Frost Alert is designed to be a simple, private frost-risk app. It does not require an account and does not sell personal information.

Frost Alert may store growing locations, crop names, plant sensitivity settings, and notification preferences on your device. If you choose to use your current location when adding a growing location, iOS will ask for location permission.
Weather data
Frost Alert uses Apple Weather through WeatherKit to request forecasts for your saved growing locations. Weather data is used to calculate frost risk, show the forecast, update widgets, and schedule local notifications.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Frost Alert schedules local notifications on your device from the latest refreshed forecast. Notification permission can be changed in iOS Settings.
Payments
Frost Alert offers an optional one-time lifetime unlock. The purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store, and the app checks your App Store entitlement to unlock paid features and restore the purchase. Frost Alert does not receive or store your full payment card details.
Analytics and tracking
Frost Alert does not currently use third-party advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.
