Privacy Policy

Aurora Heads Up is designed to work without an account, advertising or third-party analytics. It does not operate its own server and does not sell personal information.

Information stored on your iPhone

Your selected place, preferences, notification choices, trial start date and any personal hero image you choose are stored on your device. A resized copy of your selected image is kept by the app; the original in Photos is not changed.

Location and weather requests

If you ask to use your current location, iOS requests permission first. Coordinates may be sent to Apple to provide place names and WeatherKit forecasts. Apple processes those requests under its own privacy terms. Aurora forecast files are requested from the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; your chosen coordinates are not included in those NOAA requests, although ordinary network information such as an IP address is necessarily visible to the service.

Notifications

Aurora Heads Up uses local notifications. Alert preferences stay on your device. iOS decides when background checks may run, so notifications are best effort and should not be treated as guaranteed warnings.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and restores. Aurora Heads Up receives entitlement status but does not receive or store your payment card details.

Children’s privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated policy and effective date will be published here.
