Stocktake Scanner

Stocktake Scanner is designed to keep stocktake information under the user’s control. The app does not sell personal information and does not include third-party advertising or analytics.

Information the App Stores

The app stores information entered or captured during stocktaking, including:

Operator email address.
Stocktake titles.
Bin locations.
Product codes, descriptions, notes, and quantities.
Dates and times associated with stocktake records.

Camera and Text Recognition

Stocktake Scanner uses the device camera to read bin locations and product labels. Text recognition is performed for the purpose of filling stocktake fields. Camera access is used only when the user chooses to scan.

Storage and Backup

Stocktake data is saved locally on the device. The app also keeps a local Excel backup. When iCloud Documents is available for the signed-in user, the app writes backup files to the user’s iCloud Documents folder.

Exports and Sharing

The app can create Excel workbook exports. These files are shared only when the user chooses to use the iOS share sheet, such as sending by Mail, saving to Files, or sharing with another app.

Data Collection

Stocktake Scanner does not collect data on an external server operated by the app developer. The app does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

Data Deletion

Users can delete stocktake records in the app. Users can also remove exported workbooks or backups from their device, Files app, or iCloud Documents folder where applicable.
