Dry My Washing helps you decide whether conditions are suitable for drying washing outdoors. This privacy policy explains what information the app uses and how that information is handled.
Information the app uses
- Precise location, if you allow location access on your device
- Approximate location based on your IP address if location access is unavailable
- Search text you enter when looking up a place
How the information is used
- Find your location or the place you searched for
- Request weather and forecast data relevant to that location
- Show you drying guidance inside the app
Data sharing with third parties
To provide weather and location lookups, the app sends location-related requests to third-party services that support the app’s functionality. These services may process your request data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
- WeatherAPI for weather forecast data
- Open-Meteo for fallback weather forecast data
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim for reverse geocoding
- ipapi for approximate IP-based location lookup
Data storage
Dry My Washing does not require you to create an account. The app does not sell your personal information. Based on the current app design, location lookups and forecast requests are used to deliver results in the app and are not intended to build a personal profile about you.
Your choices
You can deny location access in iOS Settings and still use the app by searching for a place manually. You can also stop using the app at any time.
